Rab showed me an video that tests which brain I use more. Though many section mates could see it spinning both clockwise and anti-clockwise, only clockwise could I. Actually, I had already known a video like that and I could have got it spinning both. The movie on the right is an ending animation of a famous work and, as you may see in the upper right of the box, there is a girl spinning. This has the same trick as the video and this is maybe easier to make sense. Yet, to go beyond just a surprise, an attitude that should be taken is that each person conceives that a phenomenon like that could happen every time around him. These videos are the evidences which shows that a person can easily be deceived. However, being deceived should not be counted as a sin, but how early he realizes it is more important because people cannot help making mistakes.

Don' do that!
I did not know that there are many grammatical rules in writing formal English. To make a paper reader-friendly, writers have to follow several codes. Most of them were maybe told by Rab in the last class and I was surprise that I have violated many of them, but what made me shocked most was the rule that successive sentences should not start with the same word, because I had broken it many times. However, solution is very easy: just turning them into one sentence is enough. This also helps readers to catch flow of a passage and probably this is the reason the rule exists.
Though this is not much concerned with this topic, I have not yet understood the difference in use of "a" and "the".

symbolic numbers
The lecture Rab gave me was so intelligible that it must have been a very nice introduction to my essay. Actually, I haven't learned an art to write an essay nicely. I have not known the usual structure of an essay, so it was hard for me to start writing an essay. The beginning of an essay was difficult to me because I often wonder how much I should explain an background. And I had not understood what the background is. But thanks to Rab's explanation, probably I could get most of its sense. A background is the information that is necessary to understand an topic of an essay. In other words, if you do not understand a background you cannot make sense of an essay. Then here comes another point I learned in the last class. After I complete the background, I just follow the rule of 3: showing 3 ideas per section. 3reasons, 3 examples, 3 bodies and 3 parts of summary. I believe it will surely take me to the conclusion of my essay. But only listening to the lecture makes me sleepy...

useful tools
Rab always shows me many useful technologies. Google Reader he explained last class would make my ELA life much easier because I can quickly find out what I'm looking for, just typing some words. It takes a lot of time to search out information that I really want from just surfing the tremendously broad Internet. If I can find proper information faster, I can go to bed earlier and sleep much more. Nothing is better than a healthy life. But, as is usually said, only everyday effort can make it. Before getting information from Google Reader, you need to pick up some sites in advance. To store good sites in your Google Reader is the key point to sleep earlier.
Actually I'm not willing to look at section mates' blogs because I don't much care what they are thinking of, but, consider that writing blogs will helps me getting better at English, then it is not so dull for me. And what is the best thing working on a computer is that I can work listening music on Youtube. I can't bear managing ELA assignments without it.

the real first class by Rab
Compared to Steve's class, his class is full of actions. In Steve's class he told us to read sections which would be dealt with in a subsequent class, and in it, we talk about topics concerned with them. This was the usual style of his class. Although Rab also let us discuss, the way he give us topic is very different: he give us a lot of his own examples, show us some experiments using students. That is why it is easier to understand what is required to talk about. It is nice that the class goes on so fast that I will not get tired of his class, but in order not catch up with the class I have to work hard all the more.
If I am told which will fit me, I'll answer Rab's one will. Recently I've been feeling that my speaking English skill reduced through this summer break because I didn't speak English at all. Therefore, Rab's class fulled of talking suits my weakness.
